Eight great interviews

I hate those Coors commercials with the coaches. They're just flat out not funny. You have a lot to work with and still mess it up. How do you make a Dennis Green blowup not so funny. Here's my point, the actual interviews were funnier than the commercials themselves.

That being said, I tried coming up with top 10 funniest interviews but I couldn't do it without stretching too much. There are a bunch of baseball managers who lose it on the field and that's funny stuff but that doesn't happen in interviews. Take a look:
8. Bob Knight: "That's a ***** question."
Knight didn't necessarily make a fool of himself here and that's why it's at the No. 8 spot. He is pretty funny here though.

7. Terrell Owens,"That's my quarterback."
T.O. must have been hoping the sun glasses would cover up the tears. He's a crier and has been his whole career. Who can forget when he cried for Tony Romo?

6. Herm Edwards, "You play to win the game."
This is one of those on the Coors commercials which I hate. Again, how can you screw this one up? Well Coors did, so congrats on that. I don't think this one will be forgotten any time soon.

5. Mike Gundy, "I'm a man, come after me."
Oklahoma Coach Mike Gundy went crazy about something written in the paper. You can give him props for defending his student athletes but this is funny nonetheless.

4. Allen Iverson, "We're talking about practice."
There's been a lot of talk about this one since he retired and came back again. However, I do think Iverson will be remembered for this one more than a hall of fame career.

3. Jim Mora: "Playoffs?"
Likely the most famous press conference ever. People will quote it even if they don't know who said it. Mora tells the press with his squeaking voice not to talk about playoffs. Gotta love it.

2. Dennis Green, "They are who we thought they were."
I remember that game like it were yesterday. Then I kept the TV on and saw the press conference live and couldn't stop laughing. I guess it goes to show that Dennis Green is who we thought he was. He's not getting off the hook though, he's No. 2 on this list.

1. Joe Namath, "I just want to kiss you."
The video says it all. It doesn't get much funnier than a drunk Joe Namath telling Suzy Kolber he wants to kiss her.

Going bowling

UT fans, you can breathe now. Just relax while taking it all in. As ugly as offensive performance the Horns put up against Nebraska, they still escaped with a win. As sad as it was to see Colt throw those three picks, the Horns are going to the National Championship. Oh, and guess what, Florida isn't.

Based on how things have unfolded lately, there is no gimme for the Longhorns. It's going to be a challenge to Stop Mark Ingram and Greg McElroy but hey, your Texas Longhorns are back.

It's hard to say who'll win the Heisman after Saturday's games. Do you throw out Tebow since the Gators lost? Is McCoy still eligible? Bama fans actually have a strong case arguing for Ingram. Hey, UT fans, that's not necessarily a bad thing. The way things have gone lately, to give someone the Heisman is like throwing an expiration sticker on them that reads "not good after college."

Who was the last Heisman winner to make it big in the NFL? Charles Woodson maybe but even that's been a while. Still have time to see how guys like Reggie Bush will do in the long run, but you have to ask yourself, is the Heisman overrated?

Maybe they should consider handing out the award for after the National Championship. Come on, it's basically decided based solely on the last week before the bowl games. Might was well be decided on how the bowl games, including the championship unfolds.

The Heisman trophy is the MVP award for college football and who can argue against a player who led his team to become national champions? Just a thought.

Oh, one other thought: HOOK EM' HORNS
