Yes, I want a playoff system as does practically every college football fan in the country. However, I don't think the government should get involved. As much as I hate the current BCS, it's not an illegal system. They're not investigating steroids here. No moral or legal laws have been broken here.
You'd figure the government would have more important things to do, like, say, their jobs for example. Why are they getting involved in this? What's next? Before you know it, they'll be the ones requiring a rookie salary cap in the NFL and trying to force the NBA to really care. Pretty soon, President Obama will sign bills approving or vetoing Roger Goodell or Bud Selig's rule changes.
The Mavs took care of business against the Spurs, but let's face it, the Lakers won't struggle at all in the west. The Celts and Bulls series has bee incredible. Three overtimes last night. Let's just hope David Stern doesn't sign a bill from the President stating the overtime rules must change to sudden death.
So why did the Raiders pass on Crabtree? I know they wanted speed, but come on, it's Michael Crabtree. He's a big part of the whole reason for last year's BCS being so screwed up. Speaking of the draft, congrats are in order for Matthew Stafford for being the first pick. Sympathy is also in order for Stafford who has to play for the Lions. Congrats are in order for the Lions though for realizing they can pick other position other than wide receiver. If Stafford wins a game this season, he'll have turned this team around. Who knows, if he's lucky, he might even be the next Scott Mitchell.

Speaking of the Lions, what's the deal with the logo change? Is this one supposed to look more fierce and scary? Maybe they figured since it worked for the Cardinals who were
the laughing stock of the league that it'd work for them too. I'm just surprised they didn't use their first round draft pick on the new logo. Oh wait, that's right, Millen is gone.
