Quality Time

Just last year, no team had ever gone 16-0 in the regular season. No team had ever gone 0-16 either. Now, as we all know, the Patriots 16-0 record is being followed by the Lions' attempt at an 0-16 record.

So, Bradford huh? Once again Colt McCoy gets screwed over by a Sooner. At least when all said and done he'll be glad to have knocked off the No.2 team in the nation after falling to Tebow and the Gators. I can't help but wonder why in the world Graham Harrell wasn't a contestant. Have you seen his numbers? He threw for nearly 5,ooo yards this season. I'm not saying he should have won it but there's no reason for him to not have beeen a finalist among the other three quarterbacks. Next thing you're going to me is that college football is making decisions like this based on computers.

Alright, I could go off on that forever but there's no need to beat a dead horse. There's something else that's been bothering me and I have a lot to get off my chest.

My uncle is friends with a couple that went to the Cowboys and Giants game last night. Pretty cool right? My problem is not that I didn't go, it's the fact that the wife openly admits she doesn't like football. She went to spend "quality time" with her husband.

What are the odds of time being of any quality whatsoever if you're doing something you don't enjoy? I hate shopping and when I do it, it's probably because I've put it off for far too long and my fridge is empty. I'm not going to ask my girlfriend or anyone for that matter if I can go shopping so we can spend "quality time" together. If I spend a second longer then I need to in any store, I ask myself why I'm still there. I think of that time as being wasted time, not quality time.

The directions to go with this are endless. They're married. They have the rest of their lives to have quality time. What's just a few hours.

I'm not saying I think I should have gone instead of her especially since I don't know him. I just wish the ticket had gone to someone who would enjoy and appreciate it. I wish it had gone to someone who knew what was at stake in this NFC rivalry match-up. She doesn't know the rules of the game so how can we expect her to know the significance of the Cowboys defensive line taking down Eli Manning eight times? You think she's amazed that Demaracus Ware had another game with three sacks and has 18 on the season with two games to go? Perhaps she was impressed or even shocked that the G-men were kept out the end zone for the entire game. Probably not though.

I'm not saying not take the wife or girlfriend to a ball game. I'm just saying if she's doesn't like it, take someone that does, especially to a game with of this magnitude.

Team Rosenhaus

Drew Rosenhaus is likely the most well-known agent to NFL players and has a long list of clients. Some are decent NFL players. Some are decent human beings, but that list isn't as long. Lately, several of his clients have been, at the very least, in the news.

He represents Chad Eight-Five Johnson who was suspended and rumor has it, changed his name. Johnson's former teammate, Peter Warrick was at least at one point in time on that list. Warrick had run ins with the law while at Florida State and his NFL career never was what the Bengals were hoping.

Rosenhaus' list also includes Jeremy Shockey. The overrated tight end said it was a good thing the Giants traded him because he would have just caused more trouble in the Big Apple. It was great to see him supporting his teammates on the sideline in the Super Bowl despite the fact he was hurt. Oh, wait, he wasn't. He was too busy in the booth with the booze where he watched (maybe) his teammates Plaxico Burress and Antonio Pierce upset the Patriots. Burress and Pierce were together on that night where, well, we know, we know.

RBs Edgerrin James and Fred Taylor are a pair of his clients. Taylor is a good guy and probably displays the best quality in a human being of all the guys that are represented by Rosenhaus. This begs the question, "Why him?".

The list is filled with WRs. Javon Walker was great when catching passes from Brett Favre in Green Bay, but to make a long story short, he became a Raider and got mugged.

Another receiver on the list is Santana Moss. Moss' teammate Clinton Portis is also on there.
Head Coach Jim Zorn recently criticized his running back but apparently they "patched things up."

Portis' rival (well, sort of) Marion Barber was criticized by his owner who tried to back pedal after questioning the toughness of his star running back. Yeah, Barber is also on the list and of course, as everyone knows, so is teammate Terrell Owens. Has there ever been a moment when Owens wasn't in the news? He tore Jeff Garcia and the Niners apart, wrote a book about it and moved to Philly. He tore Donovan McNabb and Eagles apart, wrote a book about and moved to Dallas. All the while, Rosenhaus stood by Owens, held his hand and said "Next question." Owen's third book is coming out soon and if you want to get it in time for Christmas, get one of the first two and replace Garcia or McNabb's name with Tony Romo.

Alright, the list goes on, but I don't think I want to.
