Notes about Nothing

Jessica Simpson must talk too much during movies for Tony Romo to not take her. Terrell Owens probably cries in the movies he watches, especially when he's with his quarterback.
Romo was about to go to the movies himself before running into a man on the streets known as Doc. Romo bought a ticket for Doc who apologized in advanced for his odor. Romo told him not to worry because he spends a lot of time in the locker room.

On an unrelated note, how can you play 1o years in the NFL and not know a game can end in a tie? I know there are so many rules but I don't play in the game and I've known that for as long as I can remember. The last time a game ended in a tie was in 2002 and yes, McNabb was playing at the time. That's not the only thing McNabb is unfamiliar with when it comes to the game. Ask him about clock management or just look at the end of the Super Bowl when the Eagles lost to the Patriots. Seriously Donovan, how can you not know this? A quarterback of your caliber and experience shouldn't be disappointed when you don't get yet another shot in OT because you don't know the rules of the game you've been playing for so long. Man, what an idiot.

On the opposing team of the tie was Chad Eight Five but he won't be suiting up for the Bengals due to suspension. The disgruntled wide receiver is just a few acts away from joining many of his teammates at Bengals State Prison.

Speaking of Prison, another disgruntled player won't be headed that direction. Adam "My name's not Pacman" Jones has been reinstated but will miss at leas the next two games. Jones plans to come back to play against the Steelers before serving another suspension in which he will more than likely do something else stupid once again like choke a woman outside a strip club.

Now that Matt Millen is gone, the Lions are considering using the first overall pick in the 2009 draft on a position other than wide receiver. Millen had convinced the Lions' front office that the team wasn't eligible to pick any position other then receivers and because they were the Lions, they believed him. Detroit is currently looking to break history by becoming the first team to go 0-16.

It wasn't until this year that Mike Leach finally got the credit he deserves. He'll be standing on the opposite side of the field of Bob Stoops as the Oklahoma Sooners take on the Texas Tech Red Raiders.

There's a lot riding on that game when it comes to the BCS. The Big 12 South is stronger than I can remember it ever being you can't count just anyone out of it. Michael Crabtree and the Red Raiders upset the Longhorns who were the No. 1 ranked team in the country but if the Sooners take down Tech, that division is up for grabs.

That Texas Tech offense is so explosive as they recently put up a school record of 167 points. No, that's not a typo, it really happened, in hoops though. Pat Knight's Red Raiders won't exactly be easy to beat in his first full year as head coach after daddy handed the team to him.

The UNC Tarheels were the pre-season favorite but now that could change due the absence of their big man, Tyler Hansbrough. Last year's player of the year hopes to miss as little as possible during his senior year but until then, he's got some big shoes to fill. His replacement especially now that Tyler Zeller is out for the season.

It's hard to believe that Thanksgiving is less then a week away. What's not to love about Thanksgiving? We get to experience the best of all worlds with food and football. For the first time ever, the Texas and Texas A&M game will be the night of Thanksgiving. One thing that is more certain then the fact that turkeys will be served on Turkey day is that the Titans and Lions will help each other keep their streaks going. That's just one step closer for both teams to potentially break some records.
