Earlier I stated that the "D" in Big D stood for Drama. Well now it stands for Disaster. It's unfortunate to be battling injuries but losing to the Rams is inexcusable. We all know about the injuries but I get the sense that something else is going on that the general public doesn't know about.Wade Phillips said before the game the decision as to who was going to start was up to Jerry Jones. Everybody knows Jason Garrett will be the next head coach, it's just a matter of when. Could it possibly be before the end of the season.
The Cowboys could very easily be a .500 team after playing Tampa Bay. The Bucs are playing great football right now and will likely embarrass the Boys. Discussions this week will surround Tony Romo and whether or not he'll start this week. Questions will be in the air as to whether or not a coaching change will be made and after next week, the Buccaneers won't make things go any easier for Dallas.
Speaking of the Bucs, they were playing in Tampa at the same time as the Rays who knocked off the Red Sox in seven games. You can never think you have it wrapped up against Boston and they proved that in game five. The Rays will face the Phillies in the World Series.
The Longhorns remain No. 1 after knocking off Chase Daniel and the No.11 Missouri. The Longhorns haven't been ranked the top seed in the regular season since 1984. They have a tough schedule down the road and if they come out of the next few weeks still ranked No. 1 they've earned it. You have to consider Colt McCoy for the Heisman.
Speaking of a Texas quarterback, how are the Titans the only undefeated team in the league? Vince Young went down and some old guy comes in and takes over and now they'll be the last team in the league to lose. If they go undefeated and win it all, they should make a movie about them. A movie about a football team called the Titans. Any suggestion for the title?
