What are the Yankees thinking right about now? Joe Torre leaves, NY doesn't make it into the playoffs and his team does. A first in a long time for both clubs. If you predicted this past weekends NFL games the same as I did, don't say I didn't warn you. There's a reason I've called it Wrongful Predictions.
Being way off on my predictions isn't what irritated m
e and it wasn't entirely the fact my team lost to the Cardinals. It's the fact the Boys are dropping like flies. They were the Super Bowl favorites for many "experts" and they were actually looking like they had a good chance to go to the big dance. Now they can't stay healthy on the field. Yeah, they will need a miracle to get to that big dance because as Bobby Hill said "You can't dance in a cart."The Cowboys went into week six without Terrance Newman. After trailing from behind and bringing it into overtime, Tony Romo broke his pinkie finger and reports have it that he'll miss at least 4 weeks. Tony really, a pinkie? You should take to heart the words of Mr. Hank Hill, "When you want something bad enough, you'll play through the pain." Ok, I understand, a broken finger on your throwing hand is painful and will throw you off. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt on this one.
What about Mr. Jones? No, not that one. The younger one from Arkansas. Felix may be out for a couple weeks which will definitely hurt.
With our offense all banged up we just have to rely on our defense and special teams and hope that Matt McBriar can keep booting those long punts. Oh crap, he's out too. Not only was his punt blocked in overtime and taken back for the winning touchdown but his foot was broken on the play too. Man, it's true what they say, when it rains, it pours. I'm just glad all the other teams in the East lost as well. I was a big Rams fan on Sunday and big Browns fan on Monday.
